The Five Brothers story
In a small village in Tuscany lived five brothers who shared a special affinity for food. They knew how to nurture it, how to prepare it, and most of all, how to enjoy it.
Each brother had a special talent he brought to making the pasta sauces:
Vittorio – the eldest, knew instinctively the most fruitful times of year for planting and harvesting the vegetables and herbs.
Raphael – grew perfectly ripened and flavoursome tomatoes.
Marcello – the middle brother, was the master of flavour balance for each recipes.
Dante – the family nose, could sense by smell alone the purest olive oil.
And Christophe – the youngest, tended to growing the most aromatic herbs.
Together, these brothers were experts of Cucina Rustica – or rustic Tuscan cooking – which focused on using fresh quality ingredients to make extraordinary dishes that brought families together. These Five Brothers were the inspiration for the Five Brothers Pasta Sauces.
